Sometimes a quick text to your client might be an added way to let them know you are moving forward on the project you are working on for them.

3. SOCIAL MEDIA

We are truly in an age of business where people like the personal touch and connection. Connecting with clients via social media is an important part of building a relationship. Commenting on photos, status updates and family milestones is a great way to deepen your engagement.

4. PICK UP THE PHONE

Make the call. Too often we resort to only emailing and texting our clients. A quick call to say hello, follow up on a previous conversation or walking them through a problem can make a world of difference.

5. RESPONSIVENESS

Simply being responsive is an important one. Replying to emails and returning phone calls in a timely manner creates a high level of professionalism.

6. FACE TIME

Take the time to visit your client in person. This may be easier when you have an ongoing project, but make sure to do so even during slow or downtimes. They will remember your presence and think of you the next time they are in need.

This may seem old fashioned or outdated, but most people will really appreciate a hand written note as a thank you or for a special occasion. Creating moments of sentiment adds to creating a long term relationship with your client.

Offering complimentary trainings creates an opportunity to put you in front of the client by offering a service for their benefit.

We always like it when our clients offer us referrals, but what about doing the same thing in return? As you do business with others, think of people and businesses you know that would benefit from your clients services.

Just being authentic will create a basis of trust between you and your client. People want to be around people they can trust and they will naturally gravitate towards you.
